THE ROLE OF THE ITSEKIRI YOUTHS FOR OUR NATIONAL DEVELOPMENT IN WARRI-KINGDOM

Although, the collective problems of the IWERE-LAND in WARRI-KINGDOM militates against us (ITSEKIRIs) we still possess tremendous capacity to achieve the design of how our future and land would look like.

It is evident that the national development trajectory of IWERE Nation has been declining and one cannot confidently say development in its true sense is occurring in WARRI-KINGDOM or in any of the most immediate Oil producing Communities.

Even though, the per capita income of the IWERE-LAND has doubled through the years of the sales of Crude Oil, beyond doubt this has also been a period of underdevelopment; since poverty, unemployment and inequality have been growing worse.

The ITSEKIRI Youth continue to suffer disproportionately from this poor state of national development and from the lack of vision and direction in the hands of political leaders and appointees over the years.
However, they (the Youths) should be in a better position to design their future.

Since, development is the process of improving the quality of all human lives and capabilities by raising people's levels of living self-esteem, and freedom.
And in the light of this, it is therefore imperative that ITSEKIRI Youths begin to reposition themselves towards actualizing the much needed development of not themselves alone, but the ITSEKIRI (IWERE) Nation of WARRI-KINGDOM at large.

For our core values of development should be centred on Sustenance, so as to empower the youths with the ability to meet basic needs; with the self esteem to be a person; and freedom from servitude, to be able to choose.

3. Political
4. Environmental

It is our Historical duty to answer the call of History, take our destiny into our own hands, and Take Back WARRI-KINGDOM.
